Glass

Glass provides an interesting lens through which to explore the socio-economic power relations that exist amongst us and are therefore reflections of us. As such a ubiquitous substance its effect on human psychology is far reaching and beyond that it reflects the shifting of value within elements of material culture. These body structures or ‘glass armature’ are an outcome of an exploration into fictions whereby the psychological effects of this material is heightened.  What does glass make us accept and what does it make us reject? Here we begin to see an interplay between the fear of surveillance and the desire to embody the notion of being transparent.
